INTRODUCTION
In this lesson we shall see a very useful phrase meaning “I don’t understand.” It is useful, of course, because many times you won’t immediately pick up on what people are saying.
BODY
In Persian, “I don’t understand” is
Nemifahmam.
Let’s break it down:
(slow) Ne – mi – fah - mam.
Once more:
Nemifahmam.
Another thing you can say when you’re confused is “I don’t know,” which in Persian is
Nemidoonam.
Let’s break it down:
(slow) Ne – mi – doo - nam.
Another option is to tell someone, “I don’t know Persian.” This phrase in Persian is
Farsi balad nistam.
Let’s break it down:
(slow) Far – si Ba – lad nis - tam.
Once again:
Farsi balad nistam.
The first word, Farsi, means “Persian.”
(slow) Far - si
Farsi
This is followed by balad nistam, which means “do not know.”
(slow) ba – lad nis - tam
Balad nistam
Here’s the whole sentence:
(slow) Far – si Ba – lad nis - tam.
Farsi balad nistam.
“I don’t know Persian.”

Hello Genevieve

Thanks for your question

What is the difference between the verb بلد بودن and دانستن --> There is not so much difference but I can explain the verb "بلد بودن = balad boodan " as knowing how to do it, but the word "دانستن = daanestan" means "knowing".

Cheers

Hello Laurence

Thanks for your questions. Here are the answers:

1/ خوب بشه بيام ماربيا يا لندن زندگي كنم

Answer: This question is unclear for me due to wrong words or grammar.

Answer: Having fathers equals having wealth, seeing them is very enjoyable and loosing them is a huge disaster which we can't forget them easily. Peace be upon them and wish lord would keep them safe.

Kind Regards

Hello Laurence

Thanks for making questions. Please find the answers below each question:

How to say in persian:

1/ok, I see, thank you very much.

بله متوجه شدم، بسیار متشکرم

2/I do understand

متوجه میشوم

3/خوب بشه بيام ماربيا يا لندن زندگي كنم

This question is a little confusing and I need you to explain more. But I can guess you mean: I would like to go to London for living.

Sincerely,

Mohammad
